Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac (anchored to the ‘fixed’ stars) and is orientated to statement of incarnational life purpose: the circumstances we attract at birth to create the destiny our soul chose for this incarnation, and the unfoldment circumstances.

Western astrology (derived from the position of the Sun at the Vernal Equinox) uses the tropical zodiac and being Sun-sign based is orientated to our egoic psychological experience, and crucially, western astrology includes in an essential and totally valid way: our experience of the Outer Planets.( URANUS , PLUTO & NEPTUNE )

I have given readings for years that combine both Western and Vedic Astrology.
